Jon W. Norris, Attorney at Law

Jon Norris was Lead Attorney for Homicide at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where he worked from 1990-2000. He also served a Deputy Trial Chief and Acting Chief of Investigations. In those positions he supervised and trained generations of young lawyers and investigators to try serious Felonies and Homicides. 

Mr. Norris founded The Law Offices of Jon W. Norris in the year 2000. In 2001, distinguished Washington Trial Attorneys Mark Rochon and Michele Roberts of the law firm Rochon & Roberts turned over their criminal defense cases and clients to Mr. Norris when they transitioned into a different law practice. In 2007, Bernard S. Grimm also entrusted his criminal defense cases and clients to Mr. Norris when he transitioned into a different practice. Attorneys from across the country refer Federal, D.C., and Maryland cases to Mr. Norris. Mr. Norris is in demand for lectures and training seminars at Law Schools, Bar Associations and other professional trainings across the country, including the Southern Center for Human Rights, The Georgia Public Defender Standards Council, and Gideon's Promise (formerly The Southern Public Defender Training Center).
